We collect information you provide directly:

• Payment details — handled by Shopify Payments; we never store full card numbers
• Order and subscription history
• Wholesale enquiry details — venue name, equipment, brew methods, expected volume

We also collect technical information automatically: browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referral source, device type.

We use your information to:

• Process orders, subscriptions and wholesale enquiries
• Provide customer support and after-sale service
• Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, subscription notices)
• Send marketing emails — only if you have opted in
• Improve the website and our products
• Meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We share information with a limited set of trusted service providers, strictly for delivery and operation:

• Shopify — storefront, checkout and Shopify Payments
• Shippit — shipping orchestration
• Australia Post — domestic and international delivery
• Xero — accounting and wholesale invoicing
• Our email service provider — transactional and opted-in marketing emails
• Analytics providers — anonymised, aggregated site-usage statistics

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

If you create an account or active subscription, we store your preferences (coffee, size, grind, frequency) and contact details so we can roast and ship to you on the agreed cadence.

You can access, update or close your account at any time from the subscription portal. Closing your account cancels active subscriptions and removes your stored preferences, while retaining the records we're legally required to keep (e.g. tax invoices).

We only send marketing emails (new lot announcements, café news, harvest updates) if you have opted in — usually at checkout or via the newsletter signup. Each email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, subscription notices) are sent regardless because they're required to fulfil your order.

We use cookies for essential functions (cart, login state) and anonymised analytics (page views, traffic sources). You can control non-essential cookies via your browser settings; disabling essential cookies will prevent the site from working correctly.

Your data is stored on Shopify's servers, which use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encryption at rest) and security practices. Payment data is handled by Shopify Payments and never stored by us in plain text or beyond what's needed to display the last four digits of your card on receipts.

Some of our service providers (Shopify, our email provider, analytics) may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada and the European Union. By using this site you consent to this overseas transfer. We require our providers to handle data in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles or equivalent standards.

You have the right to access and correct the personal information we hold about you. Email hello@jackmurat.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first so we can investigate. If we don't resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our business or the law evolves. The version published on this page is the current one; the date at the top reflects the most recent update.
