How we work

Jack Murat is a family business with family values, dedicated to growing, roasting and sharing Australia’s finest coffee.

We nurture our crop from seedlings here on our farm in Mareeba. Around July we hope that a year of favourable weather and tender care will yield the fruits of another harvest.

We then process our harvest using industry leading Penagos equipment and a technologically advanced washing station designed to ensure consistency and quality in every bean.

The final step is roasting, which is undertaken by Nic Theodore, former head roaster at the acclaimed Sydney café, Ruben Hills. Nic shares our passion for bringing a new standard to Australian coffee – a quality we trust you will taste with every cup.
